The problem you know
An Amazon settlement is a single net deposit hiding dozens of transaction types. Your client
hands you a spreadsheet, or a dashboard export, or a QuickBooks file where a sync tool has made
assumptions nobody documented.
Inventory is usually wrong or absent. Purchases have gone straight to cost of sales. Marketplace
facilitator tax is somewhere unhelpful. And the 1099-K doesn't tie to anything.
What SellerTally gives you
- A real general ledger. Double-entry, balanced, auditable. Every posting traceable to the Amazon event that produced it.
- A fixed Amazon-native chart of accounts. FBA fees, storage, placement fees, reimbursements as proper accounts — the same COA across every client, so you learn it once.
- Inventory done properly. Purchases capitalised, COGS released at sale, moving weighted average, landed cost.
- Provenance on every figure. Drill from a balance to the transaction to the Amazon source row.
- Statements, not exports. Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet — ready to review, not raw data to rebuild.
- 1099-K reconciliation already prepared.
Invited by a client
If your client is on SellerTally's Business plan, they can invite you straight from their
account — a dedicated login with full bookkeeping access, including posting entries. It's a
free seat on their Business plan; we don't charge for the person who checks the work.
Run your practice on SellerTally
Working with several Amazon sellers? Hold each client as their own account on SellerTally —
fully isolated books, no mixing between clients — priced per account, by that account's order
volume.
Don't have API access to a client's Seller Central? You don't need it. Import the Amazon
Unified Transaction Report they hand you and produce a complete year-end without ever touching their account
directly — a January's worth of year-end books without rebuilding the same Excel formulas.

Whichever path fits — invited onto a client's books, or running several client accounts through
SellerTally — we want your input on what the reports should look like. We'd rather build to
what you actually need.
